Step 1:

After you have finished reading this material thoroughly, complete the Application for Additional Information, sign and fax it to the number at the bottom of the application. (This application serves as a Non Disclosure Agreement so we can provide confidential information while at the same time protect our current and future franchisees. And it also helps us qualify you for leasing, financing, etc.)

Filling out an application does not obligate you to purchase a license. Upon receipt, we will start the preliminary process of qualifying you as a Flying Saucers® Licensee.

Step 2:

While we are processing your application we will send you additional and more detailed information, electronically, on our concept, how we do business, and some of the advantages that make us not only a better coffee business, but a better business among any other retail food service concept or other franchise you might be considering.

We will also send you several purchase and lease options to review regarding potential investments in various Flying Saucers® business opportunities. From carts, to kiosk, to concession trailers to stand alone stores. Flying Saucers® can give you numerous options to meet your business and financial requirements.

Also, please be clear that by law we (Flying Saucers, Inc.) are not allowed to make any claims as to projected revenue, profits, etc. We can however, provide industry data, and you must draw your own conclusions from there.

Therefore, we suggest that you review this opportunity with a financial advisor or attorney. It is strongly suggested that you do your homework by seeing how our costs, service, and royalties compare to other license and franchise operations.

In order to finalize your decision, talk to others - local business owners, the Better Business Bureau, your spouse, your partners or financial backers, and outsiders who will provide you with facts and figures.

Note: Many areas are presently limited for development. After you qualify, the home office will be able to provide information on current and future availability. You should also check our web site to complete your research.

Step 3:

Once you qualify, we will interview you by phone. This is how we select applicants with the highest probability for success. The determination of your eligibility in not based solely on their financial status, but also on your business background, personality, willingness to think differently, and most important, your drive to succeed. We are looking for people willing to improve their lives by doing what it takes to run a successful business. This requires the kind of person who can take a vision and work to make it a reality. The good news is, that we accept more non-traditional applicants than any other chain.

Step 4:

Once you get past the first 3 steps, you will then be eligible to obtain a single store licensing agreement, at which time we will send you our “Welcome to the Fleet” letter .

You will then be given a Letter of Intent/ Option to License. This gives you an option for a year to develop your choice store location and to get into business.

Before the option can be executed, you will be required to provide a $10,000.00 non-refundable management consulting fee within 15 days to secure the license. The $10,000.00 is officially a “management consulting fee” and covers our management's consulting time to help them get into business (working with them to find a location, permits, contractor, reviewing landlord lease agreements, manuals, operations training, as well as helping them to obtain leasing and financing options, etc).

(This option may be assigned or sold to a qualified third party, but only with the prior express written consent of Flying Saucers, Inc.)

Step 5:

Wire or send the management consulting fee with the signed Option to License agreement.

At that point you will be an official Flying Saucers licensee, and will be able to use our Flying Saucers Sci-fi Café concept, brand name, signage, business and operating systems, manuals, training techniques, theme specific marketing materials, merchandising techniques, trademarked products, store layout and design concepts, inventory control management, stop loss prevention programs, cost control management, and retail merchandise, and thus open the doors to your business!
